Lower Columbia Eagle-May 12, 1960 Services held for Mrs. Carlson Mrs. Augusta W. Carlson of Skamokawa, Washington died May 7th at the Columbia View Nursing Home in Cathlamet. Mrs. Carlson was born in Engabo, Larf, Sweden July 15, 1873. She came to the United States in 1891 and to Skamokawa 55 years ago. She was a member of the Lutheran Church but attended the Methodist Church regularly, and was a member of the Methodist Ladies Aid Society. Surviving her is one son, Edwin Carlson of Cathlamet, Wash. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 10 in the Methodist Church at Skamokawa with Rev. E. T. Eberhart officiating. Soloist was Mrs. Kent Elliott, accompanied by Mrs. Harry Steffen on the organ. Pallbearers were Frank Huber, William R. Peterson, Fred Johnson, C. Henry Mooers, Joseph Wallace and Allen H. Mooers. Interment was in the Fern Hill Cemetery at Skamokawa with Dowling Funeral Home in charge. Carlson, Augusta W.
