Wahkiakum Eagle-May 1977 CANHAM, George Louis Age 100, a resident of Puget Island since 1930, died in a Cathlamet nursing home. He was born in Alton, Ill., and moved to Puget Island from Rainier, Ore., in 1930. He operated a dairy farm for many years and for several years after his retirement was an avid gardener. He was a member of the Cathlamet Assembly of God Church. Survivors include three sons, William of Puget Island, Albert of Clatskanie, Ore., and Ben of Taunton, Mass.; four daughters, Ora Eaton of Puget Island, Emma Christie of Dallas, Ore., Irma Morgan of Portland and Carol Kincaid of Orchards; 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday from the Assembly of God Church with Rev. Larry Bentz and Rev. John Turner officiating. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
