BYERS, Leland	

  Of Grays River, died in a Cathlamet nursing home.  He was born in 
Monmouth, Il., and had been a resident of Grays River since 1954.  He 
worked as a caterpillar operator.
  Survivors include one son, Leland of Las Vegas; a daughter, Violet 
Stearns of Ventura, Calif.
  Graveside services were held Monday.
  Dowling Funeral Home, Cathlamet, was in charge.
