Wahkiakum County Eagle- May 1961 BUHAKKA, Severi Buhakka, Severi, 99, of Rosburg, died May 19 at Cathlamet. Born April 10, 1862, in Pudasjarvi, Finland, Mr. Buhakka came to this country in 1891 and settled at Mt. Solo. Later he moved to Rosburg, where he had made his home for about 69 years. He was a farmer and commercial fisherman. He attended the Seal River Lutheran Church at Rosburg. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Jennie Svenson, Mrs. Helen Ross and Mrs. Elsie Hendrickson, all of Rosburg, Mrs. Martha Sotka of Taylorville, Ore., and Mrs. Mrs. Julia Dixon of Redding, Calif.; a son, Henry, of Rosburg; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at the Seal River Lutheran Church at Rosburg with Rev. Martti Wilkman officiating. Pallbearers were Jim Hendrickson, Al Ross, Ray Sotka, Loren Ross, Melvin Ross, and Gus Svenson. Soloists were Wiljo Kandoll and Eldon Kandoll. Burial was at the Seal River Cemetery.
