Wahkiakum Eagle-June 2000 BLOMQUIST, Betty Lou Age 73, of Skamokawa, died in Skamokawa. She was born in Moulton, Iowa, to Gerald E. and Sylvia B. (Sleeth) Stansberry. She was raised and attended school in Ottumwa, Iowa, before moving to Portland in 1954. She and John Blomquist were married April 10, 1971. He preceded her in death. She enjoyed arts and crafts and working in her garden. She also enjoyed traveling to Reno with family and friends. She is survived by five sons, Robert, Phillip, Melvin and George Wright, all of Portland, and Jerome Wright of Skamokawa; a daughter, Nadine Dean of Skamokawa; a brother, Vernon Stansberry of Salem, Ore.; three sisters, Geraldine Wright of Salem, Erma Carr of Ottumwa, and Imogene Emerson of Portland; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial services were held Saturday in Portland. Fred Bennett of Skamokawa will officiate. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
