Wahkiakum Eagle-Apr. 1999 BJORNSGAARD, Dorothy E. Age 84, former resident of Rosburg, died at home in Snohomish. She was born in Portland, the daughter of Fred and Nettie Paul. She was raised in Portland and Tillamook and graduated from Tillamook High school. She married Homer Bjornsgaard on July 3, 1936 in Vancouver. She and her husband co-owned the Rosburg store with their long time friends, Gladys and Harvey Larson from 1963 to 1973. She was one of the last Postmasters to be appointed by John F. Kennedy and was Postmaster of Rosburg from 1963 to 1979. She, Homer and their family lived in Cathlamet until moving to Rosburg. She lived in Rosburg from 1953 to 1993. She was a member of the Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington and an avid, dedicated genealogical researcher. Survivors include a daughter , Cathy A. Smith of Woodinville; a son, Paul Bjornsgaard of Naselle; seven grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Flintofts Issaquah Funeral Home was in charge. Dorothy Elinore (Paul) Bjornsgaard Mt.
