Published in The Daily News on 2/18/2007. Bighill, Jean Jean Bighill, 71, of Naselle died Feb. 15, 2007. She was born Dec. 11, 1935, in Delano, Calif., to Alonzo and Gertrude (Gragg) Clay. She moved to Portland as a teenager. Later, she lived east of Rosburg, Wash. Mrs. Bighill served as a 4-H leader and a Cub Scout den mother. She was known in Naselle for painting windows of homes and businesses at Christmastime. Her husband of 49 years, Ron "Skeeter" Bighill, preceded her in death in 2001. Survivors include two sons, David Bighill and Danny Bighill; three daughters, Tracy Shirek, Ginger Moonen and Cathy Phillips; three sisters, Ruth Scott, Dorothy Catlin and Edna Blain; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Penttila's Chapel by the Sea in Long Beach. A reception will follow. Arrangements are by Penttila's Chapel by the Sea.
