The Daily News-September 1978 BERGQUIST, John Ragner, Sr. Age 83, of Naselle, died at Long Beach. He was born in Lysvik, Sweden, and came to the United States at the age of 19, worked at Olson’s Logging Camp at Deep River, worked at the radar station in Naselle and was a carpenter until his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Sandra, at home; one son, John, Jr. of Naselle; one daughter, Mrs. George (Dorothy Ann) Ray of Longview; one brother, Carl of Naselle; five sisters and one brother living in Sweden; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services were held Saturday at the cemetery in Naselle with Rev. Rollin Johnson officiating. Penttila’s Chapel by the Sea, Long Beach, was in charge.
