The Daily News-08 Aug 2003 Margaret T. Berg Age 88, longtime local resident, died at a local adult care facility. She was born in Kalama, Wa., to Harvey A. and Rose (Finney) Taylor and graduated from Kalama High School in 1934. She attended WA. State Univ. at Pullman and Lower Columbia College. She lived in Longview, Skamokawa and Vernonia, Ore., before returning to Longview in 1966. She was a resident of Cathlamet for the past two years. She was a homemaker. She also worked at Longview Memorial Park for a few years. She was raised in the Methodist Church in Kalama, was a member of the Longview Eagles, and past member of the Skamokawa Grange. She enjoyed embroidery, canning and cooking. She loved to dance and took part in musicals during high school. Her family will remember her as a fun-loving person and an endearing mother and grandmother. She is survived by a son, Thomas A. Cavanaugh of Redway, Calif.; six daughters, Dianne Bates of Federal Way, Patricia Ohrberg of Puget Island, Elsie Freerks of Pleasant Hill, Ore., Betty Edwards of Seattle and Kay Jones and Jan Walsh, both of Vancouver; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lyle F. Taylor and Norman A. Taylor, and a sister, Lois Johnson. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Skamokawa Methodist Church with speaker Betty Edwards and Rev. Johann Neethling officiating. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge. Margaret T.
