The Los Angeles Times-October 20, 2003 Los Angeles, CA Beauchemin, Leon V. (68) Of Ojai, CA., passed away in his sleep early Sunday morning on August 31, 2003, just 6 months after being diagnosed with cancer. He was attended by his family. He was born in Cathlamet, Washington on November 10, 1934 to Louie and Irene Beauchemin. As a profession free-lance photographer, Leon worked with Hollywood notables such as Gene Trindle, Don Sanders, Nolan Patterson and Record Producer, Bob Keene, and later, taught photography at Ojai Valley Youth Foundation as a volunteer. He is survived by his daughters Michelle Yvonne and Heidi Noell Beauchemin and former wife Nancy Kornegay, of Ojai. Services were held September 4th at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clausen Funeral Home. A memorial Celebration of his life will be held Sunday, November 9, 2003 at 6 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 291 E. El Roblar Drive in Ojai, California. (805) 640-0358.
