Wahkiakum County Eagle-March 1986 BARR, Louise Jane Age 89, of Grays River, died at Long Beach. She was born at Grays River. Her family were pioneers of the area. She was the daughter of William and Jessie (Majors) Barr. She attended Grays River Schools and operated a dairy farm with her brother the late DeWitt Barr. She was a member of the Grays River United Methodist Church and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was past president of the Deep River Barr-Johnson-Hill Legion Post 111 auxiliary unit. Survivors include two sisters, Ruth McAllister of Grays River and Adelaide Gollersrud of Rosburg; two nieces, Marion Lindros of Grays River and Jean Olson of Rosburg and nine grand nephews and nieces. Services were Thursday at Grays River United Methodist church with Rev. John Indermark officiating. Penttila’s Chapel by the Sea, Long Beach, was in charge.
