The Eagle-September 28, 1944 BADGER, George E. George E. Badger, a resident of Wahkiakum county for many years, died at Benicia, California, Friday, September 22. He died very suddenly with a heart attack when making a hurried trip to California. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, August 14, 1873. He is survived by his wife, Vera, one brother, Frank Badger, of Grays River, two nephews, Arthur R. and Harold E. of Grays River, and one niece, Hazel Elder of Grays River. At the time of his death, Mr. Badger owned and operated a machine shop at Cathlamet. Prior to his coming to Cathlamet he lived for many years at Grays River where he had always been very active in the county’s development. Funeral services were held at Cathlamet Congregational church with Rev. W. W. Head officiating and Miss Jessie Sawyer soloist. Interment was at Murray Hill cemetery, Clatskanie, Oregon.
