Avalon, Val

  Cathlamet resident Val Avalon passed away late last week while on a 
Scandinavian cruise with her husband, Dr. Phillip Avalon.
  A memorial service was held in conjunction with the Sunday service at 
St. James Episcopal Church.
  She is survived by her husband, Dr. Avalon; three sons, Dr. Richard 
Avalon, Larry Avalon and Karl Avalon, with their families.
  Mrs. Avalon was active in community events, especially the Wahkiakum 
Red Cross.
