Wahkiakum Eagle-April 2001 ARNOLD, Kenneth R. Age 81, of Castle Rock, died at a local nursing home. He was born in Cathlamet to Thomas R. and Daisy (Bland) Arnold. When he was a year old, the family moved to Garibaldi, Ore., where he attended the local schools. He moved to the Longview area in 1946. He served in the Army during WWII where he received the Bronze Star and later worked as a faller for Crown Zellerbach, retiring in 1980. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Rose, at home; two sons, 'Bob' Kenneth of Castle Rock and Glen of Craig, Alaska; a sister, Myrtle St. Onge of Lake Oswego, Ore.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Irena Snyder, Charlotte Birnell and Grace Ernest; and a granddaughter, Katrina Arnold. A private service has taken place.
