Published in The Daily News on 12/11/2005. James Arvid "Bim" Anderson 1952 - 2005 James, "Bim" Arvid Anderson, 53, of Cathlamet, died Dec. 8, 2005. He was born March 24, 1952, in Scotia, Calif., to James O. and Lila (Kallunki) Anderson. He came to the Cathlamet area at age 2 and graduated in 1970 from Wahkiakum High School. Mr. Anderson began working in the family business, Anderson Cedar Mill, in 1970 and assumed leadership with his brother, Scott, in the mid- 1980s. Bim Anderson was a volunteer firefighter for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his two children, Loretta, who died in 1998. Mr. Anderson married Pam Britton in 1988. She survives him at home. He also is survived by two sons, Mike and Blake Anderson, and a daughter, Shelly Anderson; two brothers, Dean and Scott Anderson; a sister, Cheryl Parker; four grandchildren; six nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church on Puget Island. Viewing will be from noon to 7 p.m. on Monday at Dowling Funeral Home.
