Wahkiakum Co. Eagle-July 1986 ANDERSON, Burtell B. Age 73, died in a Vancouver nursing home. He was born in Astoria. He was a commercial fisherman in Alaska, on the Columbia River, Puget Sound, and also worked in heavy construction. He is survived by his wife, Elaine at home; two sons, James of White Salmon and Jerry of Battle Ground; one sister, Tooty Flanders of Cathlamet; seven grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He lived in the Cathlamet area until moving to Vancouver in 1958. He was a member of the Vancouver Elks Lodge for over 30 years, and also a past member of the Carpenters and Pile Drivers Union, and Alaska and Columbia River Fishermens unions. Services were held Wednesday at the Skamokawa United Methodist Church, with Rev. Everett Groves officiating. Dahls Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Home was in charge.
