The Daily News-May 1964 Arvid Ivar Anderson Age 42, of Skamokawa, died of a heart attack while working as a logger in Pacific County. He was born in Astoria and lived in Skamokawa all his life except for six years in the Army and six years at sea on an oil tanker. He is survived by his mother, Clara Sundbom, Skamokawa; his father, Ivar Anderson, Skamokawa; three daughters, Janice McCracken, Kalispel, Mont., Barbara and Michelle in Portland; a son, Arvid, Jr. in Portland; one grandson; and two brothers, Bert Anderson of Portland and Victor Anderson of Skamokawa. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Methodist Church in Skamokawa, with Rev. John Freeman officiating. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
