Wahkiakum Co. Eagle-June 17, 1971 ANDERSON, Arthur William Age 82, of Skamokawa, died in Long Beach. He was born in Rosburg, and was a lifetime resident of the Skamokawa area. He was a member of the United Methodist church, and veteran of WWI and a member of the WWI Barracks No. 2791. Survivors include the widow, Lillian, at home; one son, George of Hillsboro, Ore.; one stepson, James Ebert of Tacoma; one stepdaughter, Francis Herndon of Longview; five sisters, Grace Munson of Chinook, Hazel Hall and Emily Olson of Astoria, Alma Knapp and Cora Venerable of Portland; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great- great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday in the United Methodist church of Skamokawa with Rev. Bernard Herrick officiating. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
