Longview Daily News-Friday, October 2, 1942 Longview, Washington August Anderson, Cathlamet Man, Is Taken by Death Cathlamet, Oct. 2 – August (Andy) Anderson, 55, an employee of the Crown Zellerbach Company at Cathlamet home at 3 a.m. Friday following an illness of several weeks. Anderson was a native of Oregon and was born at North Bend, June 17, 1887. Survivors include the widow Mrs. Lillian Anderson, two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy C. Tomal, Tacoma, and Mrs. Karolyn Gacek, Seattle; one son, Maitland, now in the service, one brother, Emil Anderson, Aberdeen, and three grandchildren. The body is at the Hatton Funeral Parlors in Cathlamet. Funeral arrangements await word from relatives.
