Published in The Daily News on 1/11/2004. OBITUARIES Marvin G. Althauser 1923 - 2004 Marvin G. Althauser, 80, of Kelso, died Jan. 9, 2004. He was born Feb. 3, 1923, in Centralia. He moved to Kelso in 1990 and also had lived in Cathlamet and Mossyrock, Wash. Mr. Althauser graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1941. He was U.S. Army military police officer in Spokane and served in the 15th Army Air Corps in Italy. He worked as a logger for Crown Zellerbach for 30 years. He is survived by a son, Michael Althauser; and a daughter, Merrylee Lanehart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, in 1991; a daughter, Marvine, in 1946; a sister, Lillian Baker; two brothers, Bill and George Althauser; and a great-granddaughter, Selina Althauser.
