Helen Jane Akers
	
  Age 94, a longtime resident of Southwest Washington, died at 
Cathlamet.  She was born at Astoria, Ore., and lived most of her life 
in Cathlamet, with the exception of the years 1917 to 1927 when she 
resided in Portland.
  She was a homemaker and had been a member of the Pocahontas Lodge and 
the Cathlamet Congregational Church.
  Her husband Isaac Calvin Akers, preceded her in death on 08 Nov 1973.
  Surviving are a daughter, Eleanor Taylor of Cathlamet; a son, 
Laurence Akers of North Tiverton, R. I.; a sister, Gladys Graham of 
Salem, Ore.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
  Graveside services were Friday at the cemetery in Cathlamet with Rev. 
Hugh Miller officiating.
  Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
