The Daily News-August 1990 JACOBSEN, Ethel Vivian Age 66, died at her home on Puget Island. She was born in Goble, Ore., the daughter of Harold and Ada Tracy, and moved to Cathlamet in 1935. She was valedictorian of the Wahkiakum High School class of 1942. She was a hairdresser and owner of Ethel's Beauty Shop in Cathlamet for many years. She was past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star and also a member of the Ocean Park Eagles and the Long Beach Lady Elks. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and clamming, and also liked to crochet. She and her husband, Leonard, were married May 3, 1942. He survives her at home. She is also survived by a daughter, Linda Wilson of Manchester, Wash.; a brother, Dale Tracy of Puget Island; six grandchildren; and two nephews. He son, Terry L. Jacobsen, and her parents preceded her in death. There was a private family service Tuesday with Rev. John Steppert officiating. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
