No. 4 Cathlamet, Wahkiakum County, Washington-Page 1 Declares His Intention Gerhard Wikjord, a laborer residing at Puget Island, 29 years of age, filed his declaration of intention to become a citizen, April 4th, 1918. He was born in Borge, Nordland, Norway, February 6, 1888. He emigrated to the United States from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, on the vessel S. S. Princess Alice and arrive at Seattle, Wash., January 17th, 1917. His last foreign address was Star City, Saskatchewan, Canada. Although he was born in Norway he renounces forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty and particularly to George V. King of Great Britain and Ireland. Evidently he had taken out citizenship in Canada and become a British subject.
