Columbia River Sun-Thursday 27 April 1911 Cathlamet, Wahkiakum County, Washington RIVER GOSSIP Mrs. C. B. (Birnie) Illsley, sister of Col. A. D. Birnie, is visiting with the family of the latter at their home on River street. Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Fredrichsen are sojourning at Shepherd’s Springs in Skamania county for the benefit of Mrs. Fredrichsen’s health. A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kindred Tuesday, April 18. All well, including, Grandpa and Grandma Dunham, who are exceedingly proud of the latest grandchild. George Irving is receiving the lumber for the erection of a new residence and accompany outbuildings, at his ranch on the county road opposite the old Elliott homestead in the Elocoman. N. H. Webber, the capable superintendent of the Eagle Cliff Cannery was a homing passenger on the Lurline’s up trip Monday night. Besides being a No. 1 cannery man Nick is a whole-souled genial fellow whose friends are legion on the lower Columbia river. May his shadow never grow less.
