Columbia River Sun-Thursday, April 21, 1910 Cathlamet, Wahkiakum County, Washington NEW ROCK QUARRY Instruments have been passed this week conveying from Birnie and Strong to the St. Helens Stone and Quarry Co. 300x2000 feet of rock adjoining the Columbia River just above the Cougar creek falls, about one mile above town. Contracts for delivery to the Columbia river jetty and Portland contractors have been made; and 15 men and a load of powder are expected down this week to begin operations.
