The Lower Columbia Eagle, September 12, 1956 News from Naselle Naselle: These was a beautiful wedding on Saturday evening at the Lutheran Church when Miss Lola Hill married Dr. Phillip Dean from Seattle were married. Pastor Kaskinen officiated. Lola is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hill, and she is a student at the University of Washington Nursing School. Dr. Dean is also a student at the University of Washington and his mother Mrs. Dean was present at the wedding. A large group of young friends from their (University of Washington) were present. Mr. A. Felds sang and Mrs. E. McCoy played the organ. The young couple will live in Seattle. On Sunday morning pastor Koskinen gave the sermon and many people came to both events. Mr. and Mrs. E. Koski and Mrs. Kentala, Aberdeen, Washington, were here visiting and stayed overnight at the home of Onni Wiitala. Mrs. Aino Nikula left Tuesday morning for Aberdeen to work there. Mrs. Ken Meinke and Esther Bradburn took her there. Miss Geveta Schuler left for Missouri to meet the parents (not sure of this word) of her father and other relatives. After that she will continue her studies in Seattle. On Sunday the guests at the S. Wiitala home were Pastor Kaskinen, Portland; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wittala and their children from Quincy, Ore.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peoples, Nancy and Gene; Mr. and Mrs. Don Wiitala, Astoria; and Mr. and Mrs. H. Lancy, Linda and Johnny; Mr. and Mrs. Kovalski, Seattle; Mr. and Mrs. Emily Nynidn, Astoria, also came to the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Burns were guests of Alfred Joherson (unsure of surname spelling).
