No. 4-Cathlamet, Wahkiakum County, Washington-Page 1 Draft Men Respond Last Thursday afternoon nine more men were inducted into the military service of Uncle Sam. They were Marcus Bjornsgaard, Andrew Wm. Long, Henry W. Lassila, Ralph W. Eddy, George P. Irving, Trygve Nielsen, Horace C. Scarborough, John J. Laurent and Frank Jacobsen. They left for Vancouver on the Georgina the same day. Two of the men, Geo. P. Irving and Horace C. Scarborough, were rejected by the medical board at Vancouver. They have returned home. Another call is made for seven men, who are to report to the Local Exemption Board at Cathlamet on Friday, April 26, 1918. Those who are next in line and who will be called on to report are Chas. Edward Miner, Alfred N. Buskala, Ed., E. Thompson, Otto Baker, Frank B. Crawford, R. W. Smith and Chester C. Crippen.
