1914, Aug 19, School Board meeting:
   The school board of directors of District # 54 met in special session on the above date.
J. H. Inkster
and Elias Nelson present; Frank Furguson, absent.

   The amount of money required for school purposes for the coming year was estimated at $2,375 as follows:

Salaries of teachers….$2,115.00
Salaries of janitor……….108.00
School supplies……….….82.00 (actual expenses, $78.54)
Fuel………………………70.00
        Total……………$2,375.00

    Mrs. Martha Paulsen was elected janitor at $12 per month.

  It was decided that under present conditions the district could not furnish conveyance to and from school to pupils living in the extreme eastern part of the district.

   A bill for postage by the clerk amount to $1.00 was allowed and a warrant for the same authorized.
