Scattered community of farms and homes on Highway 6.

Former railroad stop on the N. P. R. R.. The name was chosen by officials of the Northern Pacific Railroad to honor Judge George U. Holcomb, who was general manager of the South Bend Land Company in the 1890s.

A post office was established at Holcomb May 1912; discontinued April 30, 1943.
