Looking for descendants of Edgar WEBB and Minnie GALLAND and also desc. of Edward Ranson GALLAND and Edith WEBB. Daughters of Edward and Edith were Louise (GALLAND) PERSHALL and Mildred (GALLAND) BUELL. Parents of Minnie and Edward R. GALLAND were Ranson and Matilda GALLAND/GOLLAND who were in Lincoln Co., WA, 1887 Territorial Census. Ranson was born ENG about 1842 and Matilda was born Wisconsin about 1855. Minnie, Edward and their siblings, Agnes and Louisa, were born in Michigan about 1874 to 1880. Would love to share information.

Seeking information on and descendants of Susan E. RAIMEY, and her sons Burton (born 1880) and Frederick RAIMEY (born 1883). Susan was the wife of James Thomas RAIMEY, who died prior to 1888 in Jackson County, Oregon. Susan and her family moved to Lincoln County, WA, and were in that county's 1900 census.

HARPER, LAWRENCE, JEFFERS, HOBART
William Saulsbury HARPER, b. 21 May 1838 d. 24 Mar 1911, & his wife, Laura E. LAWRENCE, b. 26 Jul 1848 d. 14 Nov 1917, moved to Almira, WA, in January, 1890, near where they took a homestead and lived until 1897. Then because of ill health, they were compelled to leave the prairie and came to Davenport, Lincoln Co., WA, and purchased 80 acres of land, raising vegetables, fruit and berries. They lived there until their deaths.
Laura E. LAWRENCE was the sister to Lucy Adele LAWRENCE, b. 4 Jan 1864 d. 25 Nov 1923, who married George W. JEFFERS, b. 24 Mar 1863 d. 26 May 1955. George was in the posse that caught and arrested Harry Tracy [Severn] in June 1902, a notorious train robber near Soap Lake, WA.
These girls were the daughters of Elias Lyman LAWRENCE, b. ? d. ? and Sarah HOBART.
I am especially interested in finding information on the HARPER line. They are supposed to be connected to the HARPER's of Harper's Ferry, (W.) VA.

I am looking for information regarding my great great grandfather Andrew Jackson THOMPSON. We have death date of 28 Dec 1890 from a handwritten record, info that indicates that he died in Egypt, but have nothing more, unable to get a death cert due to fires in that area with record being lost. His wife, Laura Estella THOMPSON, a death date of 3 Apr 1899 possibly died in Davenport. Any info would be greatly appreciated; if we could get an obit and their place of burial it would help so much.

Minor SHAFFER & Alma HULL SHAFFER. Residence was about 2 miles west from Tipso (near Almira). They married in 1882. Alma SHAFFER was the daughter of Hiram & May HULL, prominent & wealthy people of Whitman county. Miss Alma HULL was born in Michigan & came to Washington when a girl. To this marriage, six children: Emmett S., Dean R., Loran R., Genevieve, Joseph & Hiram.Minor SHAFFER was born 24 Oct 1857, being the son of Joseph & Emily W. (DeCAMP) SHAFFER. Joseph SHAFFER was born in Ohio & was a pioneer to California. Later he returned to Indiana, then moved to Iowa where he died. Emily W. (DeCAMP) SHAFFER was of French extraction & a native of Indiana, where her people were pioneers. Minor SHAFFER came to Washington with his parents when a child and received his education in the district schools of Walla Walla County. Later the family moved to Colfax where he finished his schooling. After that he worked on his mother's farm & also for wages until 1888, when he came to Lincoln County. Minor SHAFFER returned to Colfax and spent one year and in 1890, came to his present location, taking a squatter's right on what he now owns. He built the home & improved the estate with his brother, E.W. SHAFFER, bringing the land to a very large holding. Raised cattle & are well to do men. Minor SHAFFER has one brother, E.W. & 3 sisters; Nettie, Malissia, & Manda, & also two half brothers, Frank & Charles HUB? (not sure if a surname or middle name?)Information obtained from the reference book entitled: HISTORY OF THE BIG BEND COUNTRY, on page 279, headed MINOR SHAFFER. This is my grandfather & Hiram HULL SHAFFER was my father. He was born 6 Nov 1901 and died 29 Aug 1993. He was the baby of the family. I would very much appreciate any info on this family.

I am researching my grandmother's family. Her name was Edith TAYLOR. Her father John STEVENS and mother Susie Ellen PEAKE, spelled Susan after her death, are buried in the pioneer cemetery at Harrington. I have a good handle on the PEAKE side of the family, but the TAYLORs are another story.

Researching the BOYES family who lived in and around Davenport, Lincoln County, Washington. Henry Destin BOYES arrived from Sonoma County, California, to Davenport around 1880, filed a homestead in 1886. He brought his wife and children and his father, John Burgess BOYES, who died 27 Nov 1885 but I have not been able to find the burial place for John B. William R. and Mildred Ann (Quensenberry) BOYES also lived in the area but returned to California. Related families include BURGE, FRASIER, O'DONNELL, PROCTOR, YARWOOD.

I am searching for descendents of Francis Marion 'Frank' and Effie (FISHER) ALLEN who were turn of the century settlers in the Wilbur area. They were relatives of the BROCKs, also in the area. Frank died in Wilbur and is buried there. His brother Henry 'Bert' ALLEN was also a resident of the area about the same time. The children were Ellis, who married Virgie BISHOP, Bessie, who married Fred COCKLE, and George, who married Amy CLARK. I will appreciate any information anyone has, and I will share. I am a descendent of 'Bert' ALLEN, and of Harriet Marie FISHER ALLEN BONE who is buried with honors in the Wilbur Cemetery.

Looking for other descendants of William & Louisa (COFFMAN) WEBB. They came to Washington circa 1878 and settled in Lincoln County where they stayed for some 20 odd years, then moved to Stevens County for several years, and then Kennewick, Benton Co., where William died in 1919. William and Louisa married in 1870 in Crawford Co., KS, moved to La Plata Co., Colorado in 1875, then to WA in 1878. Their children were: Edgar, Minnie, Thomas, Edith, George, Charles and Effie WEBB.

Looking for info on the death records for the following:
(1) William HENLEY or HENLY, d. 1889, aged 30, at Mondovi, Lincoln Co., the family in MO. says "Mysterious Death, Suddenly". He died at the farm/residence of Thomas M. SMITH. He is not found on the 1889 census for the household.
According to family memories, Dora RYAN and Willie HENLEY were visiting together.
(2) Dora RYAN, d. Oct. 2, 1889 at Mondovi, Lincoln Co.; she was half sister to Willie HENLEY, aged 19, died at the residence/farm of Thomas M. SMITH of typhoid or something similar.
(3) Ann Sarah DARK THOMPSON, buried in the Wilbur Cemetery, died Feb, 2, 1892.

They had been living in this area since c. 1883 when they first came to Washington Territory. I understand that Thomas M. smith was deputy sheriff and superintendent of the poor farm. My grandfather was Harry J. NEELY who came to Spokane immediately after the fire. He was soon in Wilbur, printing and then owning/editing the paper periodically during the 1890s. His wife was Grace SMITH, daughter of Thomas Morgan and Amy Jane (THOMPSON) SMITH, who he married in Mondovi on Thanksgiving of 1889. I'm interested in any information on this family and on possible copies of the Wilbur Register newspaper. I understand it is thought that none exist in institutional hands. I have family information and photographs of the NEELY family after they moved to Spokane. Their three daughters were all born in Wilbur: Amy Jane NEELY in 1890, Marguerite Mildred in c. 1893 and Suella Phillipa in 1899. I'm happy to share anything I know.

Looking for ancestors of my great grandfather, James Garfield MOSS. He was a farmer in Lincoln from about 1883 until his death in 1928. He had numerous children including John, George (my grandfather), William (Will), Charles(Charlie), Ida, Ella, Merriam, Harvey (Harve), Effie, Frank, and Nellie. Also looking for the family of my grandmother, Carn Marie Elizabeth HANSEN, who married George MOSS. Her mother was Dorothy WRIGHT who had remarried Joseph WRIGHT. Joseph WRIGHT was a wheat farmer in Lincoln County. Carn had a sister, Tena, who married George's brother, Will, and a brother, Harry HANSEN. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
