“Private services for Ernest A Coley, 92, of Davenport took place at the Hartline Cemetery in Hartline recently. Mr Coley died on Sunday, May 12, 1985 in Davenport. The son of Issac and Martha Wilson Coley, he was born near Hartline on May 17, 1892. He moved to the Hawk Creek area near Davenport in 1935. Survivors include two sons, Grover and Clarence Coley, both of Davenport; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr Coley was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude; and two sons, Stanley Coley and Lawrence Coley.” (Davenport Times: 5-23-1985)

“Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 6 in Davenport for Gertrude Ann Coley, with the Rev Roger Muisiner officiating. Mrs Coley, born in Rhone County, TN, on March 21, 1885, had been a Davenport resident for almost 50 years. She was the daughter of John and Nora Jenkins. The family moved to the Wilbur area in 1892 and Mrs Coley was the second student to graduate from Wilbur High School Following her graduation, she attended Cheney Normal, where she received a teaching certificate. Her school teaching included posts at Republic, Del Rio, and Steamboat Rock, all in the state of Washington. She was married to Ernest Coley on May 20, 1913 and together they farmed in the Hartline area until moving to Davenport in 1934. Mrs Coley was a member of the Community Grange; the Larene Ladies Club and had been active in the Women’s Association of the Presbyterian Church during her more active years. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Coley of Davenport; three sons, Clarence, Grover, both of Davenport, and Lawrence of Spokane; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Elma Mitchell of Ephrata, Ada Coley of Hartline and Effie Anderson of Wilbur. She was preceded in death by one son, Stanley Coley. Interment followed the local service at the Hartline Cemetery.” (Davenport Times: 5-07-1981)

“Raymond Wilmar Dormaier, 90, longtime Coulee City and Hartline
resident, a man who loved the Lord, his church, and his family, passed away
Wednesday, Dec 21, 2005, in Yakima. Funeral
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec 29, 2005, at the Coulee City
Assembly of God Church with Pastor Allan Fox officiating. Arrangements are in
care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.
Raymond, the oldest of 12 children, was born in Wheeler, WA on Nov 14,
1915, son of the late Christian and Clara (Roduner) Dormaier. Later the family
moved to Wilson Creek, WA for a short period of time. He married Helen Miner of
Oakesdale, WA on July 29, 1940. They were married 58 and a half years before her
passing in March 1999. They made their home in Hartline, WA until 1965, when
they moved to Coulee City and built their own home. They resided there until
Helen’s death when he then chose to move to Yakima to be closer to family. He
is survived by four daughters and their spouses, Catherine and Crandle Dormaier-Sims,
Yakima, WA; Irene and Darroll Grant, Aumsville, OR; Jerene and Ray Miller,
Redmond, WA; and Janice and Steve Hale, Las Vegas, NV; six brothers, Ted,
George, Lourence, Harry, Allen and Leo; several grandchildren and great
grandchildren. Besides his wife, Helen; and parents, he was preceded in death by
two sisters, Clara and Eunice; three brothers, Lloyd, Earl and an infant.”
