Arnold, Nancy C., no dates, 115/1, mother;  “Mrs Nancy Arnold, aged 69, for many years a milliner of Hartline, was buried last Friday.  Her death came as a result of shock when the bandits who attempted robbery of the Hartline bank in September, shot out every window in her house, which adjoined the bank. When Mrs Arnold heard the explosion she lighted a lamp and narrowly escaped being shot. After the harrowing experience her health began to fail.” (Odessa Record: 1-15-1915)

“Lifelong resident William Keith Behne passed away March 25, 2010 in Davenport , WA . Keith was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth, daughter-in-law, Connie Behne, and a brother Howard. He is survived by his children: Tim and Sheri Behne, Coulee City; Tom Behne, Hartline; Nancy Behne, Hartline; grandchildren Erin and Micah Miller, Richland; Kelly Behne and Tyler Gordon, Corvallis, OR; Chris and Stephanie Behne, Spokane; Byron and Amanda Behne, Odessa; and Nate Behne and Rory Schultz, Seattle; and one great granddaughter, Abra Miller, Richland. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Hartline Cemetery at 1 p.m. Pastor Dennis Cooper, officiating. Rosary will be Friday, Sept 14, 7 p.m. from St Patrick’s Hall, Hartline, WA. Funeral Mass Saturday, Sept 15 at 10 a.m. St Patrick’s Church, Hartline, WA, Father William Byron officiating. “Gun Shot is Fatal.  Joseph Conrad Bockemuehl, retired Hartline area farmer, took his life by gunshot in Wilbur last Thursday afternoon. He stopped his car near the Community Presbyterian Church and fired one shot. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s office investigated the incident.” (Wilbur Register: 11-15-1973) “Retired Hartline farmer Joseph Conrad Bockemuehl died Nov 8 in Wilbur.  Rosary was held Friday evening from St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hartline and the funeral mass was Saturday morning from the same church with Father William Byron officiating. Burial was in the family plot in the Hartline Cemetery and the Robertson Funeral Home of Wilbur was in charge of arrangements. Mr Bockemuehl was born at Miles, Washington, on April 19, 1893, the son of Maxmillian and Mary Bockemuehl. He is survived by three brothers: William Bockemuehl, Deer Park, Albert Bockemuehl, Spokane and George Bockemuehl, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, plus numerous nieces and nephews.  He was a member of St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hartline.” (Wilbur Register: 11-15-1973)
