Joni Diane (Hayes) Luther

"Joni Diane (Hayes) Luther, 40, died July 16, 2007

She was born Nov. 9, 1966 in Grants Pass, Ore., to John Duane and Janet Virginia Hayes.

The family soon moved to Redding, Calif., when her dad got work on the I-5 freeway construction job.

She grew up there, and attended Alta Mesa School, Prairie School, Parsons and others until she married Timothy L. Luther on Sept. 16, 1983.

They lived for a number of years in the Tri-Cities area and then returned to Redding where they lived for the past 10 years. They just recently moved back to Bickleton

Survivors include her husband, Tim of Bickleton; her mother Janet Hayes Corbett Brissey, of Redding; three daughters, Trisha Luther Perez, and husband, Eddie of Redding, Dawn Marie Luther and fiancee Bradley Beard, of Lebanon, Ore., and Kelly Luther of Hillsboro; sisters, Julie Denise Hayes of Clifton, Colo., and Deborah Diane Boseck and husband Patrick of Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Taylor of Bickleton, Summer Dawn of Bickleton, Kurtis of Anderson, Calif., Bradley Luther Beard of Lebanon, Ore., and Deena J. Perez, of Redding; aunt Vicki Grimm, of Redding, and step-grandfather, Arleigh J. Metz of Redding; cousins Chris and Danny Grimm of Redding; and many aunts, uncles and cousins from her father's side of the family.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 26, at 11 a.m. at the Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel in Goldendale."
