ayne D. Tappo, Sr.
"Wayne D. Tappo, Sr. 38, of Pendleton died July 28, 2007, at his home.
Wayne was born Nov. 15, 1968 in Pendleton, to Antone D. Tappo and Kathryn Nanegos.
Wayne was raised by Jimmie and Esther Wilkinson, and educated in Georgeville and Goldendale.
He had lived in Celilo and Warm Springs before moving back to Pendleton about 10 years ago.
Wayne had worked in construction while he was here.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as round bustle dancing and Pow Wows. He was a drummer and active in the longhouse activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as Jimmie and Esther Wilkenson who raised him, five brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline of Pendleton; children, William Minthorn of Pendleton, Roy Tappo, Jordan Tappo, Junior Tappo, Ethan Tappo,
Jackson "Wubbies" Tappo and Bryson Tappo all of Pendleton, Agatha Jim of Celilo, and Shireese Minthorn of Pendleton; sisters, Victoria Tappo-Picard
of Pendleton, Bernadine Robinson, Billyjo Smith and Lisa Isadore all of Yakima, Delena Harmon of Hermiston, and Mitzi Mayes of Washington, D.C.;
brothers, Mathew McConnville, Jody John, Jon Sconowah, and Allen Isadore all of Yakima, Dorian Tappo of Warm Springs and Rex Harman of Moses Lake.
Burial was held at the Tutuilla Cemetery in Pendleton.
Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements."
