Shirley Ann [Wilson] Wright
"Shirley Ann Wright, 79, died July 21, 2007.
She was born Dec. 18, 1927, in Downey, Calif., to Thomas and Ruth Combs Wilson.
After her marriage to Claude Bartsma Sr, she helped in the operation of a dairy while raising their three sons in California.
After leaving California she traveled throughout Washington and Oregon following construction and logging with her husband Don Hauge.
She settled in Goldendale in the 1960s, and enjoyed many hobbies including bowling, snowmobiling, motorcycles, crocheting and sewing.
There are many young children who were influenced by her during the years she baby sat them.
She worked at Jack's Grocery, at a gas station in Biggs, and as a dispatcher for Bat's Towing, MSC Towing, and Bishop Towing.
On Feb. 14, 1998, she married Richard Wright.
They enjoyed retirement, many short trips and their home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ruth Wilson, brother, Terrell Wilson and son, Claude Bartsma.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Wright; sons, Gary Bartsma, Goldendale, and Rick Bartsma, of Anaheim, Calif.; step-daughter Holly Miles, Nassaw, Texas;
mother-in-law Gladys Boone, Rose Bud, Texas; brother, Ralph Wilson, brother-in-law, Michael Wright of Rose Bud, Texas; sister-in-law, Darlene Wilson;
numerous grandchildren and great-granchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service was held July 25, at the Mt. View Cemetery in Goldendale."
