Earl A. (Pete) Rhoads
"Services were held Monday for Earl A. (Pete) Rhoads. He died on Nov. 11 in Goldendale.
Rhoads was born Oct. 2, 1923 to Mr. and Mrs. Foster Rhoads in Goldendale. He spent most of his life in the area, except the time in the service and the past 11 years.
He served in the Navy from 1942-46 and later in the Air Force for four years. He was active in the American Legion and logging operations. He had graduated from watch
repair school and also worked as a mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, June, Vancouver; a daughter, Denise, Vancouver; three sons, Dean, Vancouver, Chris, Pasco and Terry, Kent; a sister Hazel Ingraham, Goldendale;
a half brother, James Doubravsky and a step brother, Ed Doubravsky, Goldendale; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were at the Knosher Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Beck officiating. Pallbearers included Harvey Counts, Bud Cagle, Floyd Prothero, Calvin Demaris and Alan and Mark Doubravsky.
Interment was in the Veterans Section of the IOOF Cemetery under the auspices of the Louis Leidl Post, American Legion."
