Death of Moses Pike
"Moses Pike, one of the best known and most respected citizens of Goldendale, died on the 27th of March,
at the residence of his son, Col. E. W. Pike, in the 85th year of his age.
Mr. Pike was born in Maine, in 1816. Afterwards lived in Minnesota and Oregon, and coming to Klickitat county in 1877. He was married in 1839, and
had a family from this union of four children, two of whom are dead, the surviving children being Col. Pike and Mrs. J. W. Gay of Sodaville, Oregon.
The funeral services were held from the residence of Col. Pike on Thursday afternoon, Rev. N. Evans conducting the services."
