Alice E [Barrett] Henslee
The Goldendale Sentinel December 24, 1942
Funeral services were held from the Phillips Funeral Home, Wednesday, December 23, at 2:30 p.m. for Mrs. Alice E. Henslee,
who passed away December 18, at the age of 74. Rev. C.J. Hall had charge of the last rites. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
The deceased was born in Forest Grove, Ore., in 1868. She was married to James Moss Henslee, at Baker, Ore. Nine children were born to this union of which seven are now living.
Mrs. Henslee had been a resident of Klickitat county for 42 years.
Surviving her are four sons, Tom, of Venice, Calif., Frank, of Roscoe, Calif., James, of Portland, Mitchell, in the army. Three daughters of the decased are: Mrs. J.R. Swanson,
of Pendleton, Ore., Mrs. John Jeske, of Bell, Calif., and Mrs. George Hartley, of Glendale, Calif. Eighteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren survive Mrs. Henslee.
Her husband died during the last war.
Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Swanson of Pendleton were here for the last rites.
Pallbearers were: Clyde Story, Wm. Hoctor, Al Andersen, Paul Hause, Mike Hoctor, and Jack Dressel."
