Ralph Edgar Takes His Own Life Monday

"Death Caused By Strangulation; Family Unaware of Tragedy Until Following Morning When Little Sister Finds Brother Dead in Bed; Wanted to Join Navy; Was Student at Goldendale High School and Member of Boy Scouts.

Just what the motive was for Ralph Edgar, 16-year-old Goldendale high school youth and son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Edgar, to take hiw own life Monday evening, will probably never be known. The well known youth had tied two socks to a belt, looped the belt around his neck and fastened the other end to the iron rail..."

Ulysses Ralph Edgar

"Ulysses Ralph Edgar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Edgar of Goldendale, Washington, was born April 19, 1929, at Potter, Nebraska, and passed away at his home on April 30, 1945, at the age of 16 years and 11 days. Private Mass and Services were held at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. J. J. Hartnett officiating on May 4, 1945, at 8:00 o'clock A. M. At 9:00 A. M. Mrs. Davies sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Mother Dear, Oh Pray for Me", at Phillips Funeral Parlors. Burial was from the funeral parlors at 10:00 A. M., May 4, 1945 in the I.O.O.F.
