"Moses S. Bishop, was born in Alleghany County, N.Y. February 28th, 1841, and died in Portland, Oregon, December 30th, 1917. He was married to Desiah Spencer, in 1866; to that union was born one child, Octavia, who passed away in 1908. Desiah Bishop died in 1915. In 1847 he and his wife emigrated to California and from thence they moved to Klickitat Co., Washington in 1878. They located on a homestead in the Spring Creek country, where in addition to their farming interests, they operated a shingle mill for 30 years. On December 7th, 1916, the deceased married Lidia Sheely, who survives him...." (continued)
