Adelaide Sturges Goddard and Almon Joseph Beckett were married in Goldendale, Klickitat County, Washington (WA State Archives). After her husband Joseph Beckett passed away in 1923, Adelaide married Howard J Marshall on April 25, 1925 in Goldendale, Klickitat, Washington. Sarah Adelaide Marshall passed away on October 6, 1948 in Yakima, Yakima, WA at the age of 89 (WA State Archives) following breaking her hip in a fall. She is buried beside her second husband Joseph Beckett under the name "Adelaide Beckett".   [Researcher Note: There is a birthdate discrepancy. Her obituary says she was born in 1858; however, her gravestone lists 1859. First marriage information came from the Sacramento Daily Record-Union, December 16, 1878, Page 2 (Ca Digital newspaper Collection). Biography Link (See Page 188). Page 203   Page 373   Date of Death   Samuel Newell Depew (or Depeu) Martin was born in Livonia, India on January 11, 1825 to Susan and William "Billy" Martin. He married Margaret Wylie on May 17, 1849 and the young family became missionaries in Ningpo, China from 1850-1858, where four of their seven children were born. They spent much of the rest of their lives working among the American Indians. Margaret died of a stroke about 1899. Samuel passed away October 7, 1903. He is buried in Plot: Block Section 004 Lot 1.   (Samuel's daughters Susan L. Martin & Mary E. Page 189 refers to a Susan L. Martin that I believe is buried in this cemetery. If this is accurate, then Susan was born in 1851 in Ningpo, Zhejiang Province, China. She was the second child of Samuel and Margaret Wylie, who were missionaries to "Ningpo, China from 1850-1858" (page 188). Later in her adulthood, Susan was a school teacher. She died at the age of 48 on December 3, 1899 in Klickitat County. Their children included David and Donna.   David trained as a butcher with his father, in a drug store, and then the miller's trade. He worked in real estate and property appraiser, and served as a Port Angeles city commissioner.   David passed away on January 16, 1956 in Santa Barbara, California.

Mary Jane passed away at the age of 78 in her home in Goldendale on November 25, 1930. Mary was an early Klickitat County who lived through the difficulties of the Indian uprising.

She graduated from Central Washington college and became a primary school teacher at Lyle, Washington. On Thanksgiving 1938, the engagement of Ernestine to Neal Watson of Spokane was announced. Ernestine became the unhappy recipient of the affections and subsequent stalking of an acquaintance, Robert Kiener, who eventually, chased her and her mother down in a car and murdered Ernestine in front of her mother on Hwy 97. 19 miles from Goldendale on November 28, 1937. Ernestine was just 24 years old. She is buried in Plot: Block Section 77, Lot 6.

He served as director of the Klickitat County Senior Services. Olen passed away on April 12, 1985 in Washington state. His son Ronnie preceded him in death. He was survived by a son Danny Monroe.
