The Late Mrs. D.F. Tebbs

Sarah E. (Elizabeth) McEwen was born in Holden, Utah Feb.20 1866, residing with her parents there until the fall for 1884. She then moved with her parents to Goldendale, where she has since resided.

On Oct. 21, 1886 she was united in marriage to Mr. D.F. Tebbs (Daniel Fouche' Tebbs) of Goldendale. To this union was born 7 children (the 6th child Ambrose died in 1903 at age 3), to whom she was devotedly attached: but after a long patient and lingering sickness from that dreaded disease, consumption, she passed peacefully away at her home in Goldendale, Feb. 14th, 1907, just lacking a few days of 41 years of age.

She leaves a aged mother, husband, and six children bereft of a mother;s and wife's care and presence. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Circle No. 246 who attended in a body, and after the funeral services conducted by the pastor of the Presbyterian church, at the home, tenderly laid her to rest in the Odd Fellows cemetery, just north of town, to await the resurrection trumpet. Peace to her ashes.
