Former Sheriff Henderson Dies; Maryhill Burial

"Word was received here Sunday morning that Ira Henderson, 72, had passed away in St. Joseph's hospital, Vancouver. Henderson had been a resident of Maryhill for years. Upon being elected Klickitat county's sheriff, he moved to Goldendale, and performed his duties well. He joined Goldendale's Masonic lodge in 1919, while he was sheriff.

He moved from Goldendale to Vancouver where his wife and two married daughters, who survive him now live.

Funeral services were held at Vancouver at 10 a.m. Wednesday wtih Masonic graveside committal at the Maryhill cemetery at 3 p.m. the same day."
