Abbie E. [Richardson] French was born in June of 1832 in W. Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her father's name was Richard Richardson.
She married George Washington French on September 29, 1852 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After her husband George returned from his service in the Civil War, the French family
moved west to San Francisco, California. They then pioneered in the Hartland area of Klickitat County in 1879, establishing themselves as an integral part of a growing community. Their children
included Georgella, Sullivan, Edwin and Richard. Abbie died on September 10, 1901 at the age of 69 years
