Heinrich Joseph Klein was born on October 13, 1880 in Germany to Addagina [Ragman] and John (or Johan) P Klein (Kleinbielen). He immigrated to the United States in 1911,
sailing from Antwerpen, Belgium. He settled in Klickitat County, WA. He married Elsa [Stacker] Calkins before the 1930 census. Heinz passed away On September 29, 1964

McKillip, Mary Amelia | 1862 | 10-30-1938 | Mary McKillip, County Pioneer, Dies Suddenly (column 4) Mary Amelia [Courtway] McKillip was born in 1862 in Canada to Judith [Guilbault/Gilboe] and Francis Courtway. She married William H. McKillip on March 9, 1886 at the residence of "Miss Mary Courtnay" in Klickitat County. The McKillips had a large family, with three sons and two daughters surviving both parents. Mary, a 50+ year resident of Klickitat County, died at home on October 30, 1938 in Goldendale. History of Klickitat as given by Mrs. McKillip (link provided by Jeffrey Elmer) [Researcher Note: Although her obituary stated she was born in Michigan, US censuses from 1870-1930 cite that Mary was born in Canada. Her mother's name is listed as "Julia" in the WA State Digital Archives; however, multiple sources show it to be "Judith". Marriage Records are under "Wm H McKillip" and "Mary Courtnay." | B2-L16 |
