Henry Bussenshut
"At the Good Samaritan Hospital, at Portland, Oregon, Henry Bussenshut, son of Anna and H. Bussenshut, of Gilmer, died March 19, 1900,
aged 21 years past.
He leaves a father, mother, sister and one brother to mourn his loss. The deceased was born in the state of Minnesota. He was a good, kind-hearted young man and a consistent Christian. He will
be greatly missed, and his death will be sadly mourned by his many friends.
The immediate cause of his death was lung troubles. He underwent a surgical operation but without avail. The disease had gained such a strong hold, that the best of skill could not save him.
His remains were brought back to his home in Gilmer Valley and on March 22d the funeral services were conducted by Rev. Stearns who preached a kind and sympathetic sermon, after which the
body was laid to rest in the Gilmer cemetery.
The bereaved friends have the sincere sympathy of the entire community. - S.W.N."
