Gailen Espirito was born on January 25, 1978 in Goldendale to Cynthia [Howtopat] and Frank Espirito. He was a traditional fisherman and was employed by the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission.
Gailen died in the Columbia River after the fishing boat he was in capsized on May 7, 2008.
**Note: The family lists Gailen's death as May 7, the date of the boating accident; however, WA Death Records cite it as May 20, when his body was found in the Columbia River near Carson in

Frederick Ike, Sr was born in Rock Creek (Klickitat County) on January 31, 1936 to Elsie [Billy] and Louis Ike. He was an active member of the local native community, including in 1983 being
appointed chief of the Mid-Columbia Indians. He was married to Daisy Dick. Frederick passed away on May 13, 2003 (**See Note below). I did, however, find a Washington Death Record reflecting that Frederick died in Yakima County.
