Keith Dies In Accident
"John F. Keith, a former Lyle resident died Nov. 28 in a one car accident on the Dallesport Road.
According to State Trooper Jim Williams, Keith was the driver of a 1971 Datsun. He and two passengers were traveling west when he lost control of the car on a curve,
went on the right shoulder, went across the highway, rolled three times and came to rest on its wheels on the left side of the road, he added.
In Williams' words, the car was traveling too fast for conditions.
Keith was thrown out of the car and killed instantly from head injuries. He was taken to Gardner Funeral Home. Keith was living in Vancouver.
Nancy Murray, Lyle and Chuck Burt, Vancouver, were both taken to The Dalles hospital for treatment of bruises, cuts and abrasions, Williams said."
