Join the Washington state Genealogical Society WSGS
WSGS is a blanket society of all Genealogy organization in Washington State. Membership is open to all genealogists and costs $12 per year. Their Newsletter contains announcements of Seminars and local, usually county Society meetings. They have an annual convention you can attend -- in Mount Vernon, May 16-17 2008. Join the Jefferson County Genealogical Society JCGS
The society maintains a library in the Port Townsend area, skilled volunteers can assist you in your research. For more information see Jefferson County Genealogical Society

JCGS also sponsors other activites for genealogists:
• Yearly all-day genealogical seminar with an expert guest speaker, to be held Saturday March 8th 2008.
• Yearly genealogy class, normally held in October.
• Group trips to local genealogy libraries, normally every other month.
• Group trip to the LDS Genealogy Library in Salt Lake City, normally yearly.
