Thomas Brown Dies on Visit |
Tuesday, April 2, 1957: Thomas Smith Brown, 76, a resident of Montesano for over 42 years, died Tuesday evening, Apr 2, (1957) in a hospital in Yakima, after a brief illness. He and Mrs. Brown had been visiting a son there for the last month.
Mr. Brown was a retired logger and farmer and was a member of the Montesano Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Leah (Caudill); two sons, Joseph L. Brown of Yakima and Elmer L. Brown of La Mesa, Calif.; three brothers, Wm Roby of Napavine, Lillard Wilson Brown of Chehalis and James Wilda Brown of Delta, PA; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. ADDED-Mr. Brown was predeceased by brothers, M. Green of VA in 1936, Joseph in Montesano in 1937, Jonathon in Montesano in 1956 and a sister, Melissie, in Maryland in 1953.
Funeral services will be announced later by the Rev. A. A. Blankenship of the Montesano Church of God. Interment will follow in the Wynoochee cemetery in Montesano. |
